Summer Learning Log

This week, we would have been starting our brand new journey to Ancient Egypt. So we have decided that even though we aren't physically all together, we can all work on our new journey together (teachers included!) The following document gives you a range of tasks you could complete across all areas of the curriculum. It would be wonderful if you could get a head start on the journey. This means that when we do come back to school, we can share what we have learnt and will have more time to learn even more fun and exciting things about the Ancient Egyptians!

If you could, please email some photos of you completing the tasks or any finished work to the school email address. We will then be able to share it on the Facebook page for all of your friends and teachers to see.

Have fun!

Hi year 4,

We hope that you are still managing to enjoy the nice weather and have all had a super Easter. We hope you enjoyed the Easter challenges that we set and have all had a chance to eat an Easter egg or two? Click on the 'Weekly Challenges' image below to access our new challenge for the first week of Summer term. Have fun and remember to send us pictures.

You may also find it useful to take a look at the link to The Oak National Academy, this is a new resource set up with the support of the government. The academy is a series of online lessons lead by a teacher and specific to the year group. Each week there will be a new set of lessons available to use and support what you are doing at home.

Hope to you see you all very soon. Hope you have all had a great Easter!

Visit to Sky Leeds Dock

Year 4 had an amazing day visiting the offices of SKY. The visit really gave the children an opportunity to see how coding and HTML is used in the work place. We looked at how developers and testers work together to make a finished product and saw some products that will not be available to use for another 12 months! A big thank you to Seth's mum for making this happen.

We are going on a journey to the centre of the Earth.
