Scene One

Growth Mindset Week

This week we have used our 6Rs to attempt some Growth Mindset Challenges where we were only allowed 1 piece of A4 paper. We attempted to:

- build the tallest structure

- build the strongest bridge

- create origami animals.

We had a lot of fun!

We had a fabulous time taking part in Judo.

Christmas Jumpers

Check out our Christmas jumpers. We are all looking forward to our yummy Christmas dinner too.

Visit to Sky Leeds Dock

Year 4 had an amazing day visiting the offices of SKY. The visit really gave the children an opportunity to see how coding and HTML is used in the work place. We looked at how developers and testers work together to make a finished product and saw some products that will not be available to use for another 12 months! A big thank you to Seth's mum for making this happen.

We are going on a journey to the centre of the Earth.

Our topic for the Autumn Term is 'We are going on a journey to the centre of the Earth'. This will include finding out about:

- The structure of the Earth,

- Natural disasters such as earthquakes and volcanoes,

We will also be focusing on a piece of artwork by Andy Warhol linked to volcanoes.
