Queen's Jubilee Celebrations

We had lots of fun celebrating the Queen's jubilee. We started the day by discussing who the Queen is, her importance in the UK / other Commonwealth countries and looked at her duties.
We then looked at her family tree and a timeline of her life. We created lots of different crafts and finished off the day with a phase bingo session. We all had lots and lots of fun!

We have been experimenting with water colours before we create our final art piece later in the term. Today, we have been looking at creating different techniques.

We will be taking inspiration from Monet to create our final Egyptian piece!

Music- We had lots of fun learning to play the Ukulele.

River Nile NCR

We found out lots of information about the River Nile and made some NCR. Have a look at our fantastic reports.....

We had lots of fun in our outdoor practical Maths session today. We compared decimals using different measurements.

We had lots of fun identifying the different types of teeth in humans and their simple functions. We explored eating different food to discover the role of incisors, canines and molars.

Egptian Workshop Trip - Pullman

We had a fantastic time at the Leeds Museum. We looked at Egyptian life and we explored some artefacts from this significant period of time. We really enjoyed mummifying a body and visiting a real Egyptian mummy that is 3,000 years old!

World Book Day

On the 10th and 11th February, Year 4 embarked on a fantastic residential trip to Whitby! We started our adventure at Dalby Forest where we took part in GoApe, a 3K walk and played on the adventure playground. We had lots of fun listening to different animals surrounding us and playing hide and seek and predator in the picturesque forest! After Dalby forest, we headed into Whitby where we completed the 199 steps!

On Friday, we headed to the Danby Forest, Yorkshire moor centre where we took part in a river study and a compass workshop! Luckily, we didn't get too wet! Unfortunately, because we had so much fun at the Danby forest, we didn't have time to go to Ripon Cathedral. As we had such a fantastic and busy time, most of us fell asleep on the way home!

If I were in charge of our world...
