Summer Learning Log
This week, we would have been starting our brand new journey to Ancient Egypt so we have decided that even though we aren't physically all together, we can all work on our new journey together (teachers included!) The following document gives you a range of tasks to complete across all areas of the curriculum and it would be wonderful if you could get a head start on the journey - this means that when we do come back to school, we can share what we have learnt and will have more time to learn even more fun and exciting things about the Ancient Egyptians!
If you could, please email some photos of you completing the tasks or any finished work to the school email address. We will then be able to share it on the Facebook page for all of your friends and teachers to see.
Have fun!
Hi Year 3,
We hope that you have had a lovely Easter and that you are all staying safe! We have all been very busy over the Easter holidays spending lots of time outside in the lovely weather. We would like to share with you the link to the Oak National Academy. You may have heard about this on the news as it is a new resource set up with support from the government. It is a series of online lessons for each subject that will be updated weekly. We will also continue to set a weekly challenge that you can complete if you would like to. Don't forget to keep sending us your photos of all the wonderful activities and learning you are doing at home.
Enjoy the sunshine and we hope to see you all very soon!

Weekly Challenge
To create a Maths board game.
This could be based on any area of Maths - times tables, fractions, addition and subtraction, time, shapes. It could be similar to a popular board game like snakes and ladders or you could be really creative and design something totally new!
You could also include some rules or instructions to help others to play the game too. Don't forget to send us some photos of your game in action!

Weekly Challenge
Your challenge: To make something (model, food, baking) and write some instructions so other people can have a go at making your creation too!
Don't forget to include an equipment list (what they will need) and clear, numbered steps
Send in your photos and your instructions to the school email address and we will share them!

Hi Year 3
We hope you are all having fun (and learning!) at home with your grown ups. We miss you all already - school seems a very quiet place! Thank you to those of you who have sent in photos of learning in action at home - it has been lovely to see them and we are extremely proud of you. We hope that as soon as possible we will all be back together again soon.
Stay safe !
