Here is your first phonics session today. We are learning the new sound 'zz.' It is the same sound as 'z' as in zip however, there are two letters instead of one. This is called a diagraph. There are two letters but only one sound. The sound 'zz' will usually be found at the end of a word or in the middle.
Once you have watched my video you can go over to Oxford owl and look at book 9 (on Floppy Phonics extra practice section)

Can you remember what we calls sounds which have two letters but only one sound? You're right a diagraph!
