In November 2019, Sharp Lane were subject to a two-day inspection from Ofsted. They highlighted many areas of strength within school and recognised the significant changes and improvements that had been made within school since their last visit. Below is the report. Ofsted Report November 2019

In our July 2015 inspection, the school was rated 'good'. Below are some of the key findings from the final report.

 

“… there are high expectations for all pupils… the well being of pupils is at the heart of this harmonious school community… strong sense of teamwork… quality of teaching and pupils’ achievements are good… pupils make good progress in reading, writing and maths… the support available for the most vulnerable pupils is exceptional… the provision in early years is good… pupils’ behaviour is outstanding… pupils are extremely polite and respectful… staff and governors ensure that pupils are safe in school… the school is highly effective in promoting pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development… pupils have a secure understanding of British values… visits such as those to a supermarket, farm or places of worship bring learning to life… classrooms are a hive of activity… the early years provision is very well led and managed… children in early years are kept safe and secure by very caring and supportive staff… those with special educational needs and those who are disadvantaged make good progress with their learning…”
