Fund Raising

Working with our PTA and other groups, Sharp Lane is committed to raising money which can be used to enhance the provision for our pupils or for worthy causes. Throughout the year we have a variety of activities, special days, non-uniforms days and other events that allow the children to give as much or as little as they wish.

If you feel that your child or your family has a worthy cause that the school can support, please let us know and we will do our best to support it!

In Summer term 2019, all pupils from years 1 - 6 took part in a sponsored run to raise money for the Wheatfields Hospice. The Hospice has provided support to families at Sharp Lane in recent times and we wanted to give something back to show the school's appreciation for all that they had done.

Led by the Stephenson family, the idea for a sponsored run was created, a letter sent out and the response was greater than we ever could have imagined. Pupils were challenged to raise £1.00 to take part... The Sharp Lane Community responded like never before!! Several children raised 3 figure amounts and our grand total raised came in at £2,834.11!!! Below are some pictures from the amazing day.

We would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of the staff at school and the Stephenson family to say thankyou!! You are truly amazing!
