Friday 24th April
We hope you had a lovely half term enjoying the Easter sun. It has been a very busy first week back for the children. This week we have been playing golf with a coach, planting beans in the garden and celebrating St George's day.
St George's day
To celebrate St. George's day we listened to the story, designed our own crests, iced the St. George's flag onto a biscuit, listened to the national anthem and came to school in our cubs or rainbows outfit. It was good fun!
Tuesday 21st April
What a great start to the summer term. Today we had lots of fun learning how to play golf with a coach from Oulton.
Thursday 2nd April
We are all very eggsited for Easter and were amazed by the fantastic eggs you have designed and decorated, they are all very unique. The children have really enjoyed putting together their performances and thank you to everybody who came to see them. Keep looking out for the signs of Spring as the seasons change.
Hope you all have a fantastic Easter break!
Friday 27th March
This week we have enjoyed looking at lighthouses and what they are used for at the seaside. We have also been reading stories about a lighthouse keeper in English and describing the main character (who is a bit grumpy!). Thank you to all the parents that attended the maths workshop, if you couldn't but would like more information please speak to your child's teacher.
Friday 6th February
This week we have changed Cinderella in to a modern fairy tale with some very interesting outcomes. The children decided Cinderella would go to the cinema or ice skating, take a limousine or maybe just phone a taxi and to end they would go out for dinner! This week we have also been designing and making our healthy snack boxes to use for healthy snacks that we bring to school.
Friday 30th January
We have begun our new topic on 'Castles' this week which has really ignited the children's imagination. They have been looking at the monarchy, the features of castles and building and labelling their own castles. Connected to this in English we have begun learning the story of Cinderella and describing the characters. We will be looking at and reading many other traditional tales with the children to support them in writing their own story at the end of the half term.
Friday 23rd January
This week has been an exciting week with the arrival of snow! In response to this we tested different materials to see if they would float or sink, we made a that's not my snowman book that included pattern and materials for his outfit and looked at melting and temperature. Thank you for your fantastic support with the children's homework.

This week we have been learning all about money. The children have really enjoyed playing in our shop. Thank you for all the materials you have kindly sent in this week for the children to make their arks.
