We have had a great week multiplying and dividing in our maths lessons. In music we have explored long and short sounds and made up our own musical patterns. We have looked at the classification of different animals and sorted them.

In DT this half term, we have tried lots of different fruit, we then planned what fruits we wanted to put on our fruit kebabs. We made our kebabs this week and best of all we got to eat them. Yummy!

We have also written our own versions of 'Where the Wild Things are'. The fantastic homework helped with this and gave us all lots of ideas.

For homework this week the children were asked to design their own wild thing. Look at their fantastic masks!

Friday 24th April

We hope you had a lovely half term enjoying the Easter sun. It has been a very busy first week back for the children. This week we have been playing golf with a coach, planting beans in the garden and celebrating St George's day.

St George's day

To celebrate St. George's day we listened to the story, designed our own crests, iced the St. George's flag onto a biscuit, listened to the national anthem and came to school in our cubs or rainbows outfit. It was good fun!

Thank you for the fantastic work making posters for Internet safety day, these are very informative and creative.

Friday 6th February

This week we have changed Cinderella in to a modern fairy tale with some very interesting outcomes. The children decided Cinderella would go to the cinema or ice skating, take a limousine or maybe just phone a taxi and to end they would go out for dinner! This week we have also been designing and making our healthy snack boxes to use for healthy snacks that we bring to school.

Friday 30th January

We have begun our new topic on 'Castles' this week which has really ignited the children's imagination. They have been looking at the monarchy, the features of castles and building and labelling their own castles. Connected to this in English we have begun learning the story of Cinderella and describing the characters. We will be looking at and reading many other traditional tales with the children to support them in writing their own story at the end of the half term.

We have been acting out the story of Cinderella.
