We had a lovely time at Meanwood Valley Farm. We went pond dipping and on a minibeast hunt. We had to look really carefully in our nets and in the grass to spot the different creatures. After lunch we got to look around the farm and feed the animals.

We hope that you have all had a lovely break. This week we had some special visitors from ASDA who made pizzas with the children. The children were very excited and couldn't wait to eat them. In English we have been planning our own versions of the book 'Jim and the beanstalk' and in maths we have focuses on the days of the week and months of the year.

As part of British Science week we chose to investigate the warmest colour. We started off by thinking about how each colour makes us feel.  Then we talked about what our favourite colour is and how it makes us feel. Then we melted an ice cube onto different colour card and timed how long it took to melt. The children predicted which colour they thought would be the warmest colour and wrote a sentence to describe what they found out.
